All diets work
I've never tried any myself, but I've noticed that most diets come with success stories. I've even known people who've been on various fad diets and lost lots of weight - while they stuck to them. My theory is that some of the success is just down to thinking about what you're eating.
I'd been meaning to post my "diet theory" for a while, tying it to (nearly) all software methodologies work, as long as you stick to them. However I've just noticed that Craig Larman has already made exactly the same point!
